Technistone's anti-corruption policy is fully compliant with the Wilsonart Global Anti-Corruption Policy. It provides practical guidance on compliance with relevant laws and regulations in conjunction with a strategy to enhance the company's reputation, corporate culture and ethical conduct.
The Anti-Corruption Policy complements the Code of Conduct with generally applicable principles of fair business conduct and business practices. Any form of corruption and bribery, or otherwise related improper conduct as outlined in this policy, is not only a violation of criminal and civil law, but is also contrary to Technistone's core values.
The Anti-Corruption Policy commits all Company employees and agents acting on behalf of or in the interest of Technistone to conduct themselves with integrity and ethics. Everyone is fully responsible for his or her actions and conduct.
I donate and host for pleasure
Refreshments and gifts of adequate value may be offered and accepted in accordance with local laws, customs and courteous conduct. Such expenses shall not be frequent, excessive or unreasonable. The items chosen for the purpose of gifting are those related to the promotion of the company. If the gift or range of accompanying activities is disproportionate, frequent or interpreted as a reward for preferential treatment, then such conduct is prohibited and in violation of the Anti-Corruption Policy.
I don't bribe and I'm incorruptible
Corrupt conduct can be defined as a promise to provide or obtain any undue advantage in return for some form of reward (bribe). This remuneration need not be solely financial, but may include information, third party benefits, contracts or orders issued to cover up unauthorised conduct, permits issued, corporate activities secured, etc. Any case of bribery will be dealt with in accordance with relevant laws and local labour regulations. In case of proven guilt, a claim for damages and damage to the company's name will be made against the perpetrator.
Avoiding conflict of interest
In dealing with actual and potential customers, suppliers, customers and other business partners, employees and agents acting on behalf of or in the interest of Technistone must act in the best interests of Technistone without regard to their personal gain. Situations that could lead to a conflict between personal interests and the interests of the Company must be avoided. The misuse of tangible or intangible assets or the Company's reputation for personal enrichment is prohibited.
Acting transparently
Technistone takes care to keep transparent and appropriately detailed accounting records, transactions and disposition of assets. Falsification of documents, unauthorized payments on behalf of the company or inaccurate records of transactions made to conceal the true nature of the transaction are gross violations of the law.
I know my client
Technistone only works with those customers and business partners whose transactions are funded by legitimate sources and based on transparent and ethical business conduct. All currently applicable international and domestic laws and regulations regarding the fight against the laundering of the proceeds of crime are unconditionally complied with. Any activity which by its nature gives rise to suspicion of illegal conduct will be reported immediately to the relevant authorities.
I respect the company's know-how
All Technistone employees, agents and business partners are responsible for the protection and integrity of trade secrets. All internal information concerning the company's business and production strategy, pricing policy, supplier-customer relations, etc. is of vital importance to the company and its misuse can significantly damage its market position. Technistone's competitiveness is built on the basis of product quality, innovation, strategic planning and other activities permitted by competition laws.
